Life Festival ~World Life Band~ Vol. 3
August 6 (Wed)|Life Festival – World Life Band Vol.3
– Traditions of the world resonate, and the “Circle of Time” toward the future begins to turn –
The third installment of the music event “Life Festival – World Life Band”,
hosted by the Signature Pavilion “Playground of Life: Jellyfish Pavilion” at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan will take place at Inochi Park.
This time’s highlight is the first performance of the new piece “Toki no Wa” (Circle of Time)
by Yamamoto Noh Theater, which carries on the tradition of Japanese performing arts 🎉✨
Following their June collaboration at “Shining Hat” on the theme of Osaka’s river purification (“Mizu no Wa”),
this new work evolves into “Toki no Wa”, aiming to purify the oceans of the world.
It will be presented together with the KURAGE Band, led by Sachiko Nakajima, producer of the Jellyfish Pavilion.
The stage will also feature cultures and spirits from across the globe.
🪘 The Baka people of Cameroon will leave their native forests for the first time to perform in Japan, delivering deeply resonant rhythms that express harmony between people and nature.
🗣 The Māori Haka from New Zealand embodies strength and ancestral reverence.
🥁 The Txalaparta from the Basque region of Spain, played by striking wooden planks with sticks, conveys an ancient form of communication between people.
This diverse performance is also part of the Expo’s international exchange program.
It builds on past exchanges through music between Ginoza Village in Okinawa and the Republic of Cameroon, including intercultural workshops for elementary school students and the international concert at Garamann Hall. This year’s collaboration brings a new layer of co-creation.
The event also coincides with Te Aratini: Indigenous Week, offering an opportunity to reflect on cultural sustainability and respect for diversity in today’s world.
A celebration of diverse cultures, intergenerational harmony, and creative futures.
This music festival embodies the Jellyfish Pavilion’s vision of “Invigorating Lives.”
We invite you to experience it live on site.

Sea Trash Keychain Creation Experience (Katayamazu Junior High School, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture)
We are 3rd-year students at Katayamazu Junior High School in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
We learned that there is a lot of marine debris along our local coastline.
Wondering what we could do to help reduce ocean waste, we started a project to make keychains using ocean plastic,
with the goal of raising awareness about marine pollution.
In this activity, we melt plastic waste with an iron and create original keychain designs.
Through this hands-on experience, we hope to inspire more people to care about the issue of marine litter.
